New linky blog party at Anya, Oddies, and Others....

So...my gal pal Melissa and I have been kicking around an idea for a long time to start a sharing type blog just for fun.
So without further adieu....we are starting the year off with a new blog for all our stamping friends.  We want you to share your craftiness with others just for fun and inspiration.

The new Linky Party blog, Anya, Oddies, and Others! is all about stamps.  Link up current creations on the correct page (easy).  We have specific companies featured, but we also have the 'Others' page where you can link up any stamp manufacturer.  The catch...we want you to use one of the craft options we are asking to see (again, easy).

Check back every Wednesday - just saying!

I shared two projects for the launch of the blog...

My first is using a Unity company image.  The Unity January options are color blue, wooden embellishment, butterfly or sticker.  You are asked to use at least one of these in addition to your Unity stamped image.

For my card I used this wonderful Faceless beauty image by Unity.  I colored her with my Copics.  I then backed the image with blue cardstock and added the wooden bird above her.

My second uses a Lawn Fawn image.  The Lawn Fawn January options are color black, sentiment, frame, and glitter/sparkles.  Use at least one of these options in addition to your Lawn Fawn image.

For this card I used the cute image from the Winter Penguin set and the happy sentiment...then wrote the birthday to match...  I then colored the image with my Copics and doodled my border.

Be sure to check out the blog and link up a project for one of the featured companies or the "Any other brand" linky...which is an anything goes...so lets just say you have something for that one...don't you??  :o)

Cuttin' and Stampin' Winter theme challenge

Hi Everyone, Lynda here to share with you a project I created for our latest challenge.
Our challenge for the next two weeks is winter.  Make something that is related to winter.

I received some pieces from the All Bundled up line from Carta Bella and the Yeti, Set, Go stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

For my card I decided that the Yeti needed to be given some special treatment, so I paper pieced him.  I stamped him onto two different blue pattern papers from the kit.  One for his belly and the other for his face and hands.  I then colored him with my Copics.  I then covered my card base with this wonderful blue pattern paper and stamped the snowflakes and sentiment onto the paper.  I then trimmed white cardstock to look like drifting snow and added it to the bottom.  I then stamped the trees numerous times onto white cardstock, colored them with my Copics, and fussy cut them out.  I then added the trees and yeti to the card using foam tape.  I then added Copic Opaque white to the trees and snowflakes for dimension.

You can find these fun products in the Cuttin' and Stampin' store here on facebook.

I hope you'll take our challenge and link up your project to this blog post here.

Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Part 2 (with an extra scoop of blog candy)

Hello again...welcome to my second post for the Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog hop.

This is my second post for the hop...and this one has an extra scoop of blog candy from me to you)

For this project I started with this adorable image called Sugar- Friends from Just Some Lines:

I printed the image onto white cardstock and trimmed it to the size I wanted.  I then colored the image with my Copic markers.  I then mounted the image onto green pattern paper from Authentique's Festive Collection paper line.  I covered the card base with paper from the same line and added the strip of coordinating pattern paper.  I then stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Winter Fox stamp set onto white paper and backed it with the same paper from this line.  I then added these two cute coffee theme veneers from Latina Crafter's Cafe wood veneers set.

I would love to give one lucky person that leaves a comment on my blog this exact digital image I used on my project.  I would love for you to become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this blog post for your chance to win this wonderful image.  Please leave your contact information in your comment so I know how to get your image to you at the conclusion of the hop.  You will have until December 14 at 11:59PM to leave a comment to be eligible to win.  The winner will be posted here on my blog on or about December 21.

Be sure to check out all the other wonderful projects being shared in the hop and drop into the sponsors sites to say thank you for their support.

Shake it off...and up...and all over

So that Taylor Swift song seems to be on everywhere...all the time...and I'm super glad we're fans here in the house; otherwise it would get old super fast...  In the theme of the song...I decided to "shake it off" and make a shaker card.  The Just Some Lines folks are having a short Facebook challenge, so I thought I would ink up the Emo at the Beach stamp that I won from them a little while ago.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored it with my Copics.  I then chalked the sky and sun.  I then cut out the frame using the Lawn Fawn small stitched journaling card and then trimmed around the outside edge to create my frame.  I then cut a transparency to fit and added two stacks of foam tape along the edge.  I then chalked my frame as well.  I then added the cute sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  I then cut the "hi" from the same cardstock as my card base 5 times and stacked it.  The die is from Paper Smooches.  I added another sequin as the dot for the "i".

I think she's super cute...and now I can shake it off...up and all over...

Where it all started

Some time in April 2012 while searching online for images I came across the Tiddly Inks site and was instantly in love.  Of all the digital stamp companies this is the one that has always held the greatest appeal to me with the variety of images that Christy draws.  I have had the pleasure of being published with their images and continue to use them with my sketches for Scrap 'N Art magazine.

When I saw that they were having a design team call I contemplated creating a card and actually have made several.  I finally finished this card and knew it was the one that I had to use.  I started with the wonderful Wryn Joy Ride image.  I printed the image a few times the same size onto Neenah cardstock.  I then colored the image with my Copics.  I then fussy cut one image from the sheet.  I then fussy cut two of the tires from another of the images and popped them up on the image using Collall glue.  I then set about making the scene for her Joy Ride.  I used this wonderful Stitched Border 1 die from Pretty Pink Posh to create the road at the bottom.  I then cut the sun and clouds from cardstock using this die set from Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die set.  I then used the awesome technique that Jennifer McGuire shared on her blog last week and die cut the "hello" from Savvy Dies five times and stacked them together to create this dimensional sentiment for the card.  I then fussy cut and added the small hearts to the scene.

I adore this image and have colored her a number of times...each time creating a fun scene.

I hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it.  Now to keep my fingers crossed that I might have the opportunity to design with these images all the time.
