This is double duty card day because I used this wonderful sketch by Laura at 2 sketches 4 you to create a card for a challenge that I am hosting at the Dixie Pieces Summer Splash Online Crop!!!
Here is Laura's sketch http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ :
here is my take on her sketch...I used some leftovers from the July Dixie Pieces Good & Plenty Kit..
I used this card as my example for my card challenge at Dixie Pieces; this card uses Doodlebug Lily White Stripe Patterned Paper as the base...black bazzill cardstock; then Bazzill Basics Wedding White Satin Cardstock that I embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder, added some rickrack; a large white felt flower from my stash; a large black button sewn on just so...a rubon from JoAnn's...and doodled some white lines to finish off the look.
My challenge is called Catch a Wave!
This challenge is to create a card that uses rickrack (my version waves) and doodling (mine is the lines that I drew in white on the black cardstock).
So...if you are feeling inspired stop on by the message board and join in the fun...amazing prices up for grabs... http://dixiepieces.com/forum/index.php
