You Made My Day

I got this very nice surprise from Wendy who I've had fun chatting with over at Paper Popsicles... It's a You Made My Day Award...here is how it works:

"Give the award to up to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel so happy about blogland! Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so that they can pass it on. Beware! You may get the award several times!"

So here are my 10 (I had a really hard time choosing only 10...but here they are):

Joy: http://www.scrapalicio.us/
Marci: http://www.marciknecht.blogspot.com/
Christi: http://alteredambitions.blogspot.com/
Rachel: http://raebellus.blogspot.com/
Becca: http://www.houseofhenrie.blogspot.com/
Suzanne: http://oscrappyday.blogspot.com/
Emeline: http://scrapvilla.blogspot.com/
Kory: http://kadordea.blogspot.com/
Angela: http://angeladaniels.squarespace.com/

Okay....for Suzanne's second blog challenge:

Focus on JUST the first half hour of your waking day. Write a blog entry describing it in depth. Include details such as what time you wake up and what your mood is generally. Are you usually well rested? Do you use an alarm clock to wake? If so, is it set to music or buzzing? Use lots of descriptive words!

At 5:20 the cat was heard breaking through the pull door downstairs...she really has to work at the door to get the magnet to let go...then she escapes...then she is off and running. She is a very LOUD calico...and at that hour of the morning and in the stairwell...it sounds like there are ten of her! Knowing that the alarm would not go off until 6...I was not happy that she was on the move so early this morning...

Soon she was in our bedroom letting us know she was there with her very loud sound and then up on the bed for the methodical marching that must take place before she could possibly lay down....ugh! Finally there is peace again as she has found the perfect spot on my legs; not the perfect spot for me as I soon have to move because she makes me too warm...

The silence is once again broken by the sound of coughing from directly across the hall...I look up and it is now only 5:40....and the small thump in the distance means that our room is soon to be invaded by the littlest nightgown clad morning warrior....she always wakes up happy and supercharged...so we are braced for the encounter to the best of our ability...extra pillows over the head!

Now that the room has doubled in occupancy; I realize that I will not be getting back to sleep any time soon...and that until the beep of the coffee maker sounds I will not get my early morning beverage... thus I have decided that the little noisemaker from across the hall should have to suffer the consequences of entering the pit of doom (aka my bed)...so the tickle battle begins...since I am the only family member that is not ticklish...I am soon to be declared the quick victor....the winning sound...in the distance...the five beeps that the coffee maker makes when it is done making the magic of the morning.

So...this was how my morning started...much like most days...not really making it until the alarm goes off... it could be worse...it could have been 4:20 that the cat came upstairs!!!
