I'm hosting the challenge this week on the Red Rubber Inspirationals challenge blog. The theme I picked is "The Music in Me". I am challenging you to pull out your stamps that have a musical theme or are inspired by a song.
For my project I stamped the flower from the Spring Dream stamp set onto my card base. I created a mask of the flower by stamping it onto plain white paper and then covered my first stamped image. I then stamped the music score from the Vintage Background set. This makes the flower seem to pop. I then stamped the sentiments from the Sophisticated Sentiment set onto the card. I started with the Happy Birthday and then the "you" is from the "thinking of you" sentiment. I then used a pen and wrote the "to".
The flower image was colored in using Spectrum Noir colored pencils. I then added this wonderful piano key washi tape along the edge to complete the look.
You have until Wednesday, June 18 at midnight to link up your project on the challenge blog here. Be sure to check out all the challenge rules on the rules tab.
