I was so excited to get to work with an image from our sponsor this month and had such a fun time looking through all the wonderful images on their site. I decided upon this stunning image of a hummingbird titled Calliope Hummingbird.
I printed the image onto white cardstock and then pulled out some of my favorite Copic colors and got busy coloring this wonderful image in. I then fussy cut it out once it was finished. I found this wonderful saying that I wanted to use on my card and printed it onto the cardstock base before folding it into my card shape. I knew I wanted to showcase this fabulous creature in flight, so I printed this wonderful dahlia image (from our sponsor from last month Pickled Potpourri) and added to my card front. I think this card is just the thing to ring in spring and a reminder to slow down and find Peace in the beauty around us.
I kept the remaining background plain, just using my chalks to give a sky-like effect behind the image.
