A bunch of cards and a twist of fate - edited

One of the great things about nice weather is that I can sit out on the back deck and make cards while the girls play in the yard. I've been playing a LOT with watercolors and mixing them with colored pencils for a fun look. I was lucky enough to receive some wonderful stamps from My Stamp Box to work with and created a few cards using them:

LOVE this A flower for you set:

and this BOO halloween set it sooo cute:

finally I'll share this card I made using a stamp set from Stampendous that I recieved from Creativity Boutique...I love this stamp...so I stamped it three times and then used my Prismacolor pencils to color it in...I really love the way it turned out:

now for the twist of fate that I mentioned in the post title...

The girls and my dh have been asking me about getting a dog forever...I wasn't sure it was the right thing for me to do since I know I will end up doing most/all of the work and I have quite enough to do already......well I was working on a few cards while my oldest danced yesterday at the studio and took my bag out to the car before her class was over...in the parking lot was another Mom that was there and she had her truck parked in a shady spot... she had two large tubs on the parkinglot and running around it were these creamy little puff-balls... well I had to go over and look...sweet I thought... I asked what kind of dog they were and she said Cavanese...well this was the mix of dogs that I had researched and had on my list of "maybes"... so it was a true twist of fate that she was there and I got to meet Daisy Rose... I also got to meet her Mom and Dad (her mom is a purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and her dad is a purebred Havanese) and her five sisters and one brother... The Princess was sold as soon as she saw her...brought home the pictures and talked to dh who of course said yes, but it's not a dog...(he wanted a big dog)... and Little Miss keeps dancing around and telling me I'm the best Mama in the world...

So...looks like we'll be getting Daisy Rose in a few weeks...then the fun starts as we adjust to having a puppy in the house...but look at this face...

and this may be just the incentive for the girls to keep their rooms picked up... :o) (and for me to buy all that cute Puppy/dog paper out there to scrapbook our new family member!)

Happy crafting....Lynda

Edited to update - the dog owner's husband took all the puppies to an event and gave them all away without his wife's knowledge... so my girls will not be getting this puppy... we're now in the market for just the right puppy for our family...lots of tears and tissues here for a while, but they will be replaced with tears of joy when we find the right doggy for us!!!
