Today is my tutorial day over at the My Stamp box blog and I decided to show off some white on white work...
For this technique you need to collect the following supplies:
Clear embossing ink
White/clear embossing powder
White glossy cardstock
Dye inks (pigment inks will not work with this technique)
Stamp – I am using the A Flower For you stamp set
sponges – I use sponge daubers to apply the color
Lets get started!
1. Stamp your image onto the gloss cardstock using embossing ink and cover the image with white powder:
2. Heat the embossing powder so that the powder melts into the ink:
3. Now take your sponges and your dye inks and gently apply the ink starting at the center of the flower slowly working outward to the edge of the stamped image. You can add additional colors as you move towards the edge; for my card I started with yellow and added orange and red as I moved out…here is how it started out:
4. Once you have inked to the edge and beyond your flower you can then trim the paper and mount onto cardstock for your card
notice on my last card I followed the flower petal pattern and on the others I simply applied a more solid inking pattern…
I hope you’ll give this technique a try.
Happy crafting….Lynda
