It’s spring here in the Pacific Northwest and that means that it’s time to start thinking about planting in our garden. There is still the threat of frost, so we have to be careful to not let the sun and slightly warmer weather talk us into planting too soon…so many things are started from seed indoors. My dining room floor near the sliding back door becomes home to small indoor greenhouses and they are full of seed starters for our vegetable garden. My girls love to plant and harvest veggies, so this has become a big part of our spring and summer activities.
To celebrate this planting season I created this potted flower card… I started with a chipboard shape that I picked up on the clearance aisle…I connected two of them together using Helmar 450 glue to create a card. I covered the top of the card with the delish orange backside of the #040115 – JARDIN Primavera D pattern paper. The flower center is a yummy Kiki button and another heart shaped button from my stash…both secured using Helmar 450 adhesive. The stem was covered with a scrap from the backside of the #020111 – CHINA Twirl & llamaradas pattern paper. The flower pot itself is covered with #020102 – CHINA Twirl RY including the rim of the flower pot that I popped up with some Helmar Zap Dots.
I hope if you’re a gardener that you too can get outside to start planting soon…and if not, maybe you can create some inside flower projects for yourself!
Happy Spring and crafting….Lynda
