The Paper Popsicles design team was so excited to have an opportunity to work with some of the delish products made by Shimmerz. These are water-based paints that have a shimmery sparkle to them that really make your projects shine!!! They have three products to pick from: shimmerz paint (which come in little pots); blingz (a thicker version of the paint) and Shimmerz spritz (a spray on shimmery glitter).
I received a few colors of Shimmerz and one spritz to play with. I had a few additional colors that I had purchased a while ago, so I was ready to create some fun things to show off the versaility of these paints!
For my first card I painted this large Prima with Butter Cream Shimmerz..it really added a lot to the flower and shows off the details of this large bloom:
for this next card I first embossed the green cardstock using my cuttlebug temaplate. I then used the Tuscan Sun spritz on the cardstock...I dabbed it a bit with a papertowel so it didn't puddle on the paper. I then colored my image with Le Plume markers and added some Magenta shimmerz to the rose for extra shine. If you click on the card image it will enlarge it and you can really see all the shine!!!
For this next card I decided to see what the Tuscan Sun Spritz would do on some lace; I sprayed on a few coats and let it dry. I painted the chipboard heart for my card with Bubblegum shimmerz first and when that was dry I outlined that color with some Celery Shimmerz. I then assembled my card.
here's a closeup of the shimmer-ized pieces to my card:
finally I decided to go all out with my Shimmerz colors and took a leftover piece of this wonderful chipbaord from Buzz and Bloom that was included in the August Cherry View lane kit at Paper Popsicles. I painted the Shimmerz onto the chipboard...giving it time between layers to dry. I added the little bling pieces to the centers. This card really shines!!!
