The I Am A Scrapaholic July kit has not only these yummy Scenic Route papers and the delish core d'inations cardstock...but also has this great fish die cut image. At first I wasn't sure what to do with it...I tried using it as a negative to make a card and it just wasn't giving me the look I wanted...so I figured I would use it as it was and let the other colors from the kit make it really stand out. I first cut a cirlce from the cardstock that was a wee bit smaller than the die cut shape to allow the fish to sit on top of the cutout... I then pieced together scraps of the stripped paper that I had left from the kit...I did not have a single piece that was large enough, so I had to match patterns the best I could and it gives the visual effect of the water shifting... I added some of the epoxy bubbles from the Cloud 9 sheet included in the kit...and finished the card off with some white gel pen dots...(I can't seem to get enough of this pen lately)...
here's a close up of the bubbles...
I still have a few more things that I have made with this kit....I really think I will save every little scrap of this paper to see what can be done with it... I have to say that it has been a long time since I have hoarded scraps quite like this!
