July Miss Fit Kit at Paper Popsicles

I could not sleep last night...so I came down to my craft room and completed by project work for the Paper Popsicles July Miss Fit kit...

I have to say that I love the way these Dream Street papers have all the little words printed on them...it adds so much definition to the projects...

I cut the clouds on this layout from white cardstock and sponged the edges to make them pop. I added pearls to the center of the Heidi Swapp flowers from the kit...lots of accenting done using the glaze pen in the kit. I LOVE these little Scenic Route journaling circles...perfect touch to finish this off...

For the next layout, I created the tree on the left side from the pattern paper in the kit. I stamped the owl from the Tweet Idea mini-kit onto various pieces of pattern paper and cardstock to create a paper piecing. I then used pop-dots to lift him from the tree trunk. I cut the leaves for the tree canopy from some of the yummy pattern paper. I cut the tree on the right side from another sheet of pattern paper and added some details to it with the glaze pen. I used the glaze pen to doodle and add flower bottoms along the base of the layout. I added small punched flowers (from the pattern paper in the kit) to the doodles to add just a hint of color down the bottom... I completed the layout with the Doodlebug letters for the title and adding one of the journaling postcards.

I created this card using some paper scraps; a journaling post card added to the top; once cut with pinking scissors. I covered the chipboard bird with pattern paper and added a peal as his eye. I added a Scenic Route journaling circle to the center of the flower and doodled stitching along the edge to finish off the card.

For this card I used one of the journaling post cards as the base and added a pattern paper covered chipboard bird. I did the title work with the Doodlebug stickers included and added a black seed bead from my stash to finish it off...

I love the Dream Street chipboard mini-albums so much and this one does not disappoint. The hardest part is deciding which side to use... I added some quotes from my stash throughout the book, lots of inking, and embellished using the ribbon from my stash, rubons, and a flower from the kit.

Scrapbooking has been good therapy for me...it has kept my mind and heart busy...and having this super yummy kit to work with made it all that much easier!!!
