This is my first acrylic album and I have to say I can see why people are so addicted to them...they are fun to do. I will say it takes a bit more thinking and planning, but once I got going it was easy. I used some rubons; souflee pens, flowers, ribbon and beads that were not in the kit, but everything else was from the yummy June kit. I used the ink from the kit to color the edges of the pages...I then used clear embossing powder and heated the ink to set the powder...this is a bit tricky...too much heat and the page will warp...oops.
Here is a closeup of the edge that is embossed:
I also made a few cards from the kit:
(extras from this one are the cardstock, rubon and that yummy Creative Cafe felt flower ribbon)
This card was fun...I made the nest from little scraps that I cut into strips...cut the bird from the corner of a blue piece of pattern paper leftover from the acrylic album...
I made this layout using bits and pieces from some of the lefover scraps from the album too... I made the journaling spot and inked it up to match...
Finally, the kit contains this wonderful Fancy Pants transparency...I added the white flowers and black brads from my stash and colored the stems on a few of the flowers with a white gel pen.
There is TONS of product in this kit...I still can't believe you get all that for just $25...and that includes shipping!!! Wonderful price for an amazing kit!!!
