Still time to create a project for the Path of Positivity Peace challenge!

Happy Monday!  Today marks the mid-way point of the April challenge on the Path Of Positivity challenge blog and our theme for this month is PEACE.

Our fabulous sponsor for this month is
SNS Blinkie

and Lisa has provided a wonderful free sentiment on the blog for those who wish to play along...

I was so excited to get to work with an image from our sponsor this month and had such a fun time looking through all the wonderful images on their site.  I decided upon this stunning image of a hummingbird titled Dragonfly:

I printed the image onto white cardstock and then pulled out some of my favorite Copic colors and began coloring the image.  I really wanted it to look lifelike, so I took a lot of time shading here and there.  I then fussy cut it out.  I then used my glue pen and two shades of glitter to add some extra sparkle in places around the dragonfly body and wings.  I then found this wonderful pattern paper in my stash pile of 6x6 pieces and ran it through my printer to put this great sentiment onto it.   I then mounted the dragonfly onto the card using foam tape so it looks like it is landing on the greenery.

There is still time for you to take this month's challenge...what brings you Peace?  What do you think of when you are at Peace?

Create something and join in this month on the Path of Positivity challenge blog!

Sparkle N Sprinkle is giving away the following:
  • Three digital images for the person out of the top seven who receives the most votes during voting week.

This is one of the prettiest cards I've seen, Lynda. I've been back several times to look at it over the past few days, and just think it represents everything that is good in Nature. Your intricate coloring and fabulous glitter shading is amazing. The sentiment really does say it all. Peace is right now, where we are. Thank you for creating such a fabulous piece of artwork using the SNS image.

I have become your newest follower in google.

Now to put on my other hat. Thank you for joining us at Sparkle N Sprinkle this month! I hope you will submit more of your pretty cards to the challenge in the future! hugs, Donna {Creative Smiles}
