Growing in Unity Day 3

ME!!!!!!

I am so excited to be here on day three of my week Growing In Unity...  For my card today I had to search long and hard to find this stamp... it's titled Let beauty surround you and it was a stamp of the week a while back...I was doing a search for Phyllis Harris images and came across it...then of course had to have it and the search was on...I was so happy when I tracked it down and even happier when I got to ink it up for the first time...it is just an amazing image...

For my card I first stamped my image onto cardstock using Memento black ink.  I then used my Copics and chalk to color in my image.  I colored her to look like my favorite redheaded beauty; my oldest daughter.  Once I had the colors how I wanted them I added the texture to her jeans using blending solution and a scrap piece of jean fabric I had in my sewing basket.  I then added the dotted background which is a super fun coloring trend I've been working on lately.

I hope you'll come back the rest of the week as I share a few more creations with you...and before you go...don't forget...  Unity is allowing me to give away TWO Itty Bitty images to one lucky commenter this week.  So be sure to come back each day and leave a comment to get you name in this drawing!

While pulling out my images to create my projects this week I came across an extra Unity set that I had received as a prize...this set is titled Sentiments O'Simple.  To be eligible to win this kit from me you need to first be a follower of my blog and comments each day this week will be receiving this special set from me!!!  LOVE this set...so many great sentiments for every type of card or project you are working on:

I hope you've enjoyed todays project and look forward to sharing with you all week long creations made using the wonderful images available at Unity Stamp Company!!!

Happy crafting....Lynda

I love this stamp. It takes me back to childhood and my pet rabbit, Sniffer. The texture in your girl's jeans is a neat effect. Love it!

lynda, you truly did an awsome composition to showcase the unity stamp. the color tones you chose kept the stamp image as the focal point and shows how sweet the stamp really is. Bravo!!!

The background is sooooooooooo cool. It reminds me of some of the paintings in museums. I can't remember what the technique is called, or who is famous for it, but I love it.
