In rememberance...
I took this photo of my sister holding my mother's hand at the hospital....she had always commented on how much she loved her hands....so I just followed my heart and took out my camera and captured this image that will always be one of my favorites from this moment on... we used it at her memorial service and it will be framed and on my sister's wall so she can remember...
This is the poem we place on the inside of the handout from my mother's memorial service:
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not meant to be.
So He put His arms around you
and He said "Come to me."
With tearful eyes,
we watched you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
Our hearts were sad and broken,
But God always knows what's best.
Thank you to all my wonderful friends who have sent me notes and left me messages over the past week...this has been a difficult journey and your support and friendships have meant more to me than you know.
