I cut a strip of the paper about 1/2 inch wide and a full twelve inches long. I then used my Scor-pal to valley and mountain fold along the length. I then began to form the flower; pinching it along as I went until I reached the end. I secured the flower using liquid glue (Helmar 450). I added a black dew drop to the center and my flower was finished. I think it was the perfect edition to my layout!
I enjoyed making this flower so much that I made two other variations and used them on cards. The first flower was made from a larger strip of the pattern paper that I also snipped between the folds, and the second I used some deco scissors to create an interesting edge to the petals.
both cards are made using Kiki Arts pattern paper #020111 - CHINA Twirl & llamaradas
I have to say that these flowers have become somewhat of an obsession for me now...I am making them out of and putting them on EVERYTHING!!!
I hope you'll give these flowers a try...they are easy and fun to make!
Happy crafting....Lynda
