The holidays always seem to leave me thinking a bit too much... maybe it's the conclusion of another year...what did I not get to that I thought I might... how did these extra pounds find me again that I got rid of at the beginning of the year...
This holiday season is no different. I know there are a number of sites that encourage you to chose a word to focus on for your next year... I've been doing a lot of thinking about what word I could use if I was going to pick just one...
I have decided that my word for 2010 will be renew.
here is what Websters has to say:
re·new (r-n, -ny)
v. re·newed, re·new·ing, re·news
v.tr.
1. To make new or as if new again; restore
2. To take up again; resume
3. To repeat so as to reaffirm
4. To regain or restore the physical or mental vigor of; revive
5.
a. To arrange for the extension of
b. To arrange to extend the loan of
6. To replenish
7. To bring into being again
v.intr.
1. To become new again.
2. To start over.
So for 2010 I am going to focus on a renewal of different parts of my life.
Seems like a good word for me...we could all use a renewal of our spirit every now and then...
