Happy Anniversary to me...

It was 15 years ago tonight that I said "I do" to the man of my dreams.

I started my life at 8PM on 12/31/1993.

It truly feels this way.

It must have been fate that I was working in the CPA office the day that my now dh came in to get his taxes done....else we may never have met. I still remember looking out the window in the front office and seeing him walking from his truck...his blue and yellow CAL scarf blowing in the wind.... just like it was yesterday.

On this day, I cherish each day that I can call myself your wife. I don't think any words could ever express to you how much you have changed my life and how full my world became the day you stepped into it and we began our journey together. I believe I am a better person for having lived so much of my life with you; having you as my partner and best friend. So...today I celebrate us, our life together, the tears and joys, the hardships and good times...

It has become a tradition that each year I print and give you a copy of this poem by Anne Peterson because it sums up perfectly how I feel:

With tiny tears that glistened, my eyes were fixed on you
and thinking of the life we'd share, we softly said "I do."

Our hearts were knit together from the time that we first met,
and memories were gathered, that we never will forget.

While daily living life with you, you saw the real me,
and still you chose acceptance, a lifelong mystery.

With many happy days gone by, and others when we cried

So I raise my champagne flute to you my love...the same one we used on our wedding night... it is still full of the same hopes and dreams for a life full of love. I look forward to sharing the next 100 years together with you.
