I was fortunate enough to get to design with my first kit from Dixie Pieces....let me just say that this kit is amazing...stuffed full of wonderful papers and other goodies...here are the projects that I completed:
For my first project, I freehand cut a large flower from the pink pattern paper and added a cut circle to the middle and finished it off with one of the included jumbo brads. I used some ribbon for the flower stem and freehand cut the leaves from a different pattern. I used the green pattern paper for the base of my page and covered just shy of half the layout with the floral pattern paper. Each photo is matted on a solid cardstock...I then added the hand drawn stitching along the flower and added dots along the photo mats. The little journaling circle is from Elle's Studio.
For this card, I trimmed the black and white pattern paper to fit the front of a white card base. I created the photo corners from black cardstock. I colored in the pattern paper with colored pencils. I added some stitches to the photo corners.
For this project, I took three CDs and painted them using the paint from the it. I then covered each CD with a piece of pattern paper. I cut the letters using the Cricut machine from the green cardstock. I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in each CD and strung them with the pink ribbon from the kit. Added flowers, rhinestones, and doodles.
For this project, I first trimmed cardstock to create a cover for a notepad. I then trimmed the transparency to fit the front. I painted the transparency on the backside with the green paint from the kit and some white paint from my stash. I added the rubon title using the included alphabet...some white brads to the corners to hold it down...and that yummy polkadot brad from the kit!
For this final project, I trimmed the pink and green pattern paper in half and spread them across two pages. I backed some of the photos using the black and white polkadot paper; allowing only a single row of the dots to show on the edge of the photos...I used strips of the same polkadot paper across both pages...I backed the remaining photos with solid carstock. I trimmed the flowers and dragonfly from the black and white pattern paper. The title is made from the thickers included in the kit. I added buttons from my stash. I LOVE this spread so very much!!
