I've got a secret...well not anymore...

I've been secretly working on a project for the Tsukineko company. They have come out with an amazing new ink called Memento. The ink was first shown to the crafting public last summer at CHA and is just now beginning to arrive at their warehouse (right here in Washington not far from where I live!). The company issued a "Memento Challenge" to select artists; giving us a chance to be among the first to create using these wonderful new inks!

This first card was made using a wonderful Rockfish stamp from Fred B. Mullett a local Seattle stamp maker. I used sponge daubers to load different shades of the Memento ink onto the image. I love the way it turned out...this ink is wonderful to blend.

This next project uses grungeboard stripes to make a little book for notes.

I trimmed the piece of grungeboard in half and then rubbed the ink into the surface to

showcase the pattern. I then used some bradwear rubbons to spell out NOTES and used

them in the centers of some coordinating Prima flowers. I used some red Memento ink to color the Q&Co chipboard arrow. I tied the whole thing together with some Basic Grey fiber! CUTE!

One of my all time favorite stamps EVER...from Embossing Arts (aka Auntie Amy's now). I used the Versafine to stamp the image in black and embossed with clear powder. I then rubbed each ink into a plastic lid to leave the ink behind...I then used a painbrush and water to paint the stamped image. I used the ink with sponge daubers to color the circle and highlight it on the front of the card base.

This one uses a piece of chipboard that I inked with Versamark ink and coated with a few layers of Ultra Thick embossing powder. Once I got it to a good thickness I then covered it with two colors of the Memento ink and reheated the piece. I waited until it cooled; then bent the image so it would have a cracked look. I trimmed a piece of DCWV cardstock; distressed it with sand paper and adhered it to the front of a card base covered with some Provo Craft patterned paper.

This card was made by the image being stamped twice in the versamark ink and embossed with clear powder. I then smudged the front of the card base with various colors of Memento inks. I also used the inks to color the flowers. I adhered the flowers to the card using a rhinestone brad and then adhered the leaves and tag with glue dots. I LOVE this card and this stamp so much!!!!
