Birdie Brown September freebie

So I have to say that I totally adore the images made by Birdie Brown.  And her freebie for September is just perfect for making some cute Halloween greetings!!!

For my card I colored the image using my Copics.  I then mounted the image onto black cardstock and then continued to stack the pattern paper (Echo Park) onto black cardstock and then onto the card base that I covered with this awesome orange cardstock.  I think this image is just soooo much fun!!!

Even if you don't have time to quickly take the challenge (which ends tomorrow)...be sure to drop by and pick up this cute image and then thank Torico for another wonderful freebie!!!

Path of Positivity Half way there....

It's half-way through the challenge month on the Path of Positivity blog...that means you still have time to create a wonderful entry based on their theme for the month HONESTY.  For my mid-month card I used this darling image from Creative Bug Digitals titled Ballerina:

I first decided on what colors I wanted her to be and pulled out my Copic markers and pattern paper.  I then decided what quote I wanted and put that next to the digital image before I printed it.  This has always been one of my favorite sayings and I think it really spoke to the theme...

I hope you will take time and enter the challenge this month...here are all the details:

Create a project and/or post that is positive AND relates to honesty, provide an explanation of how your project and/or post relates to the theme somewhere in your post or come over and leave a comment with the explanation.  Easy, peasy!

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit.  Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post!

Thank you to Creative Bug Digitals for allowing me to work with such an adorable image!!!

Can you say Chi Chi Wednesday...

Whew...where has the time gone?  Oh yeah...the kids are back in school, so I'm running back and forth and back and forth...

It's time for another project featuring the new release Party Time:

I decided to use the cute cupcake girl from the set this week.  I colored her with my Copic markers, then fussy cut the image out.  I thought she looked like she was going to a birthday party, so I decided to put this cute music paper behind her.  I then created the sentiment flag from scrap cardstock and wrote the sentiment on it.  I used my Copics to edge around the card base and flag...

Isn't she just darling....be sure to check out all the wonderful creations on the Chi Chi Memories blog!

I am so excited to be joining the Cuttin' and Stampin' team.  When Tammy asked me in early August if I would like to join her team I jumped at the chance.  I LOVE Paper Smooches images and Bazzill Basic paper!!

For my hop project I decided to create a card using the wonderful floral paper from the line.  I love both sides of this paper and used the floral for the main focus and the reverse side (the orange polka dot) for one of the strip across the front.  I added a strip of cream that I stamped with the sentiment from the sentiment sampler set by Paper Smooches.  I added these cute matching flowers and brad.

After me, you need to hop on over to Cuttin' and Stampin' Challenge blog.

Enter to win a great blog candy gift pack on the Cuttin' and Stampin' Challenge blog.
