Growing in Unity Day Three

I can't believe it's already day three of my week as the Growing in Unity gal!!

Yikes...you know it's real when you see yourself on the Unity blog...and on their facebook page...

So for my project today I thought since I am using this same pattern paper and color pallet for all my projects it would be fun to paper piece a project.  This wonderful Park bench line from Fancy Pants!

There are so many fun images that are perfect for paper piecing that can be found in the Unity Stamp Company website.  One of my absolute favorites is the Spring Flower Chic image by Suzi Blu!

This image is an awesome size for doing paper piecing...measuring 3.75 x 6.75 inches!

I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Memento black tuxedo ink.  I then colored her hair, skin, shoes, and the flowers using my Copic markers.  I then stamped her two additional times onto two pieces of the pattern paper from the Fancy Pants Parkbench paper pad.  I then fussy cut the pieces from the paper and glued them onto my main colored image.

I then stamped the sentiment from the You Did It Itty Bitty stamp set onto a scrap of white cardstock.  I then backed the main image and the sentiment onto coordinating pieces of cardstock and my card base.

I think she is awesome....  I hope you'll continue to drop by for the balance of the week to see what additional projects I have created.

Don't forget to leave a comment on this blog post and my others as the Growing in Unity guest posts this week for your chance to win one of two 25 random stamps grab bags from Unity!  (are they awesome or what!)  Be sure to keep an eye on my blog next week to see if you were picked as my lucky winners!

Happy crafting...Lynda
